The Perfect Red Manicure

Finding the perfect sexy red nails for the winter!

Something about a fresh set of red nails in the winter is just unbeatable! It's the perfect combination of sexy and classy; so much so that i've named it "sexy red"! I personally am not the biggest fan of the bright; tomato red, so my go to in the winter seasons is a deeeeeep cherry red, almost burgundy, that'll compliment my skin tone but still make a statement.

For years I was using the Maybelline Superstay Nail Polish in 06 Deep Red. It's drugstore so it's affordable, and honestly a great deep red! My only kwarm is the longevity. For something named superstay, you'd expect it to you know...stay! But no. On the other hand, it also states to only last 7 days so I can't really complain lol.

When I finally came to my senses, and realised polish I could physically PEEL OFF was no longer okay, I discovered the Chanel Le Vernis in shade 153 Pompier. Now, you know how much I loveeeee Chanel Beauty! Honestly, you'd think I built the brand with my bare hands, but I promise this is the real deal! 153 is quite literally perfect in every way. It is on the priceier side, but you really do get what pay for.

When my nails are being professionally cared for by the brilliant @cee8beauty, Vina Gel Polish in shade 46 is what i'm wearing! It's the perfect red to burgundy ratio, matches my skin tone very well and the gloss is everythingggg. Of course 90% of the results are down to the preparation and work done by the fabulous Chloe!! (She's the best xx) but Vina 46 is still such a gorgeous and rich shade!

Here are some alternatives that also look really good:

Red nails may seem intimidating at first but it's fairly easy to pull off, and such a winter statement! The key is finding a shade that compliments your skin tone and the perfect manicurist, and now you have both!
